The South Carolina Board of Pharmacy has announced updates to the renewal process for Non-Resident Manufacturer, Repackager, and Wholesale Distributor licenses, beginning with the 2026–2027 renewal cycle.
These changes introduce new documentation requirements and transition the renewal process fully online. Companies holding these licenses should review the new process in advance to avoid delays when the renewal period opens.
Starting with the upcoming renewal cycle, Non-Resident Manufacturer, Repackager, and Wholesale Distributor licenses must be renewed through the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy’s online portal.
Permit holders will need to log into the state’s eServices system using their facility’s existing User ID and password in order to access the renewal application and submit required documents.
A key change to the renewal process is the requirement to submit a Designated Representative Affidavit.
Under the updated requirements:
The Board has indicated that license holders can submit this affidavit in advance. Submitting documents early may help prevent delays when completing the renewal application.
In addition to the new affidavit requirement, license holders must also provide their most recent facility inspection report prior to renewing their permit.
Similar to the affidavit, the inspection report must be uploaded through the Document Submission portal before the renewal application can be finalized.
Facilities may submit their inspection documentation ahead of the renewal window to ensure their records are already on file when renewal begins.
To prepare for the upcoming renewal cycle, companies should confirm they have access to their facility’s online account credentials.
license holders will need:
If needed, select "Forgot Username" or "Forgot Password" to reset your login credentials.
Non-resident Manufacturer, Repackager, and Wholesale Distributor licenses are required for companies that ship pharmaceutical products into South Carolina. Ensuring required documentation is submitted before the renewal window opens can help avoid administrative delays that could impact a facility’s ability to maintain an active license.
Organizations operating across multiple states should review their compliance processes to ensure documentation such as designated representative information and facility inspection reports are kept up to date.
